Welcome. You are invited to wander the galleries by clicking
on the postcards at left.
The Blackbird serves as messanger and guide, moving freely between the worlds
of dreams and
waking thoughts, memories and secret spaces. At dusk and dawn Blackbird's song
is heard at the
gateway between the realm of the living and the dead, lulling the conscious
to sleep and awakening
the deeper mind. Here you will find expression of many kinds, both inspired
works of art and
comissioned works of design, using modern methods and ancient techniques. Here
you will discover
whimsy and beauty but also the echoings of midnight things that haunt the darker
corners. The
Blackbird sings you onward. Take flight.

CURRENTLY
SHOWING: I'm geared down a bit this season
as I focus heavily on my studies
and travel and new creations. I'm not currently showing, but check
back as new work
is posted each month. I'm engaging my creativity head-on,
and trying to dedicate myself to art for it's own sake...as opposed
to chasing
noteriety
and identity. I suppose I'm entering a new chysalis. In other important
news, my e-mail is working again. I now have a new web host...best
part
is they use wind-power for their servers so my site is totally
green. Happy Earth Day!
More good news everyone!
I'm able to sell via PAYPAL. So If you see a piece you fancy,
just
send me an e-mail,
and once the details are confirmed, I will send
you an invoice allowing you to pay through your PAYPAL account.
There are still a few remaining posters
from our limited run of signed 11 x 17” posters featuring Sister
Spider. In a fashion both endearing and creepy
, Sister Spider's
eyes
seem to follow
the viewer's every move.
Posters will be
at
a low $5 promotional price
so get your own before they're gone. You can find
them at the merch table at Katrina Parker performances.
Katrina also keeps
company
with vinyl reproductions of my work on stage, and
you'll
recognize my paintings gracing her flyers as well.
For those
of you who haven't experienced Katrina's sultry
vocal
talents,
her
live show
is like visiting a flickering
speakeasy, lined with
gin
and red velvet. For show dates and other
vital info visit KatrinaParker.com or Katrina's
myspace page.
Also, I'm an
artist on the Pagan Poet e-Card
site, having been the featured artist last May. There
are currently 14 images
to choose from. If you'd like to send an e-card just click on the postcard
below.

ADDED & WORK IN PROGRESS:
A new paintings is now posted in the Paintings
Gallery titled “Tea & Sympathy” and a
new mixed-media piece is now posted in the Collages
Gallery. Currently in
progress
is
a painting inspired by a photo of my husband Peter when he
was just a boy...arm in arm with a snowy owl and a little
stripped cat. I'm also working on a painting titled "Sacrifice"
which depicts an alabaster angel holding a knife and a heart...you
get the general idea.
This is the book I illustrated a little while
back...you can peek at the illustrations in the Sketches
